But with US MilOps at 5 and DefCon at 5 (due to HILTSW), and Soviet MilOps trapped at 0 (unable to coup) this is an extra 5VP for the US at the end of the turn, yes? Again - total 15VP.
I guess if he has a war card, he could raise his MilOps to close the gap that way??
I agree though this play may be a bit short sighted for influence in other regions. Hmmmm ...
