Sorry for the pointless thread, but I just played Twilight Struggle for the first time yesterday. Now, I had heard that you had to play this game a few times for it to be enjoyable. But this was just AWESOME. Such intensity. SO well thought out. I played the Sovjets and won on VP's at the beginning of turn 5 due to perhaps a lucky card draw that turn, but I had spent the whole of turn 4 betting everything on getting that VP win - sacrificing crucial position in the process - which JUST failed, but then I got the remaining VP's in turn 5 by first headlining OPEC and then immediately playing for the 2VP's I needed on the Space Race. JUST in time because my opponent had both the Central America and Southeast Asia scoring cards on hand, which would score him lots of VP's.Now, out of principle I don't give any game 10 after just one play, so I'm starting with a very strong 9, but I can't wait to play this game again. If it really only gets better with more plays then that is gonna be a very very special game.
