Control is a particularly important concept in the Americas and Africa, where DEFCON restrictions never prevent coups. So as long as you control no non-BG countries your opponent can't coup you in these regions when DEFCON is at 2. Going for Control in these regions makes a lot of sense, not just for the additional VPs, but to deny your opponent access as well.↧
